Thinking it through.
Making it happen.

Training, practical resources and creative work. A closer look at what I make and how I share what I know.

01 / Training & communication

Making marketing
make sense.

For Start Up Peterborough, I developed and delivered a three-part marketing bootcamp for new business founders.

The brief called for accessible sessions with a strategic foundation. I organised the programme around marketing, PR and social media, combining live teaching with questions and practical resources.

Ask Liz: questions, creativity and a closer look

Six videos available

Watch Ask Liz ↗

For my refreshed portfolio, I created six short videos around questions a prospective employer might ask. They explore experience, turning strategy into delivery, competing priorities, leadership, creativity and collaboration. Visitors can choose what interests them, alongside the examples and articles elsewhere on the website.

The questions came first. AI helped develop scripts based on my professional background and working approach. Those answers draw on real experience, including the marketing bootcamps I developed for new business founders. Responsibility for what appears under my name remains with me.

One of my photographs became the starting point for the visuals. Following an AI-assisted edit, I brought the portrait into VEED to generate videos from the prepared scripts. The videos use an AI-generated version of my own voice, created from a recording I supplied. Music and dynamic subtitles give the series a consistent presentation.

There were practical discoveries along the way. VEED’s topic-generation route rewrote the supplied wording, while script mode provided the route I needed for the prepared answers. Choosing the right workflow mattered as much as choosing the tool.

Reviewing the results revealed another lesson. The photograph edit had changed my green eyes to blue, something that still needs correcting. A polished appearance can hide an inaccurate detail. Checking generated material against its source belongs within the creative process.

All six videos are now available on this website. As a portfolio project, the series brings together audience questions, written communication, visual choices and practical use of AI. It also shows something that finished work can conceal: the experimentation, checking and decisions involved in getting there.
