About & experience

The bigger picture.
The practical detail.

I’m Liz Baker, a marketing strategist based in Northamptonshire. I bring more than 20 years’ experience across B2B and B2C, with a particular interest in how strategy, technology and communication work together.

Experience

Different settings.
A connected approach.

My background spans client-side and agency roles, from global consumer brands to SaaS businesses and scale-ups. The setting changes, but understanding the audience and connecting decisions with delivery remain central to my work.

CRM, content, campaigns and digital transformation have all formed part of that experience. I’m comfortable moving between the wider direction and the detail needed to make progress.

How I work

Clarity, curiosity
and follow-through.

01 / Understand

Start with the purpose.

I ask questions, look at the evidence and get clear about what matters before deciding on the activity.

02 / Connect

Make room for people.

Clear explanations and shared understanding help people contribute. Listening can reveal a practical problem before it becomes a bigger one.

03 / Deliver

Keep things moving.

I look for manageable steps, clear responsibilities and useful measures. Plans need enough structure to guide delivery and room to respond to what we learn.

Professional grounding

Experience backed
by learning.

Professional development matters to me, alongside the learning that comes from doing the work.

The creative streak

There’s a maker
in here too.

I’m a lacemaker and crafter as well as a marketer. Making things encourages patience, attention to patterns and a willingness to try another approach.

My Digital Crafter writing brought those interests together, sharing marketing ideas and resources with small craft businesses.
